OUR FOUNDER

NICLETTE MUNDABI

Niclette Mundabi is an accomplished international business consultant, social impact advocate, and fundraising strategist dedicated to mobilizing private capital for social good in Africa.  Nicky currently serves on the board of Books for Africa, the world’s largest book donor to the continent, where she has been instrumental in facilitating the shipment of over 60 million books. For her contribution at Books for Africa, she was selected as one of the 2024 Everyday Local Heroes by the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Niclette’s leadership spans both the nonprofit and corporate sectors. As the Director of Development at Eastern Congo Initiative, she led global strategic partnerships in annual individual and institutional giving. Her corporate experience includes her role as Africa Portfolio Manager at MoneyGram International,  overseeing the company’s annual North American remittances to Africa. Nicky also founded TheLuxe Africa, a private investment consultancy that engages global partners in facilitating investments and market entry strategies in Africa. Hailing from the Democratic Republic of Congo, her journey from grassroots initiatives to becoming a key player in African development embodies the resilience and innovation that MCG represents. Nicky is a highly influential member of the African global diaspora. Since 2017, she has been key in convening influential people of African descent worldwide by organizing events for the MIPAD 100 initiative in New York. Nicky holds an MBA in International Business from the Birmingham School of Business and has completed Harvard Business School’s Senior Executive Program. Her unique blend of business acumen, philanthropic expertise, and deep understanding of African markets positions her as a pivotal figure in driving sustainable development and economic growth across the continent.
